First I will show trimming of the tree. Jack's tree gets built not chopped
And they have a beautiful angel for the top
The next series of pictures are of Jack building his tree
And that is how you build a tree :)
Time to spread the skirt top the tree and hang the lights
Opps the angel is the only thing that lit, the tree lights were all dead :(
But through the magic of pictures- the tree once Jack got the new lights on it while I was back home
The tree decorated- I will add three other ornaments I made today, next week.
Here are the ornaments I made a Santa, one for our first Christmas and an Elephant
Jack wanted to keep the elephant I made for the Christmas party talked about making it an ornament (it is a 1" stuffed critter)
(elephant I made for party)
I
did give it to him but he decided to not put it on the tree- but said I
could make him an elephant for the tree if I wanted, so I did :)
Here is the one I made for the tree
The head of the hospital thanking us and Charles for being there
Charles- We could have sat closer but we sat with Jack's in laws sister in law and her daughter
This is Charles mom who came back from that horrific accident. She played like an angel
Charles had his friend Mario play by himself and with him, Mario's style was good ol Jazz style Christmas Carols fun and sassy! I liked his music best
Here they are doing Jerry Lee Lewis style of playing Christmas carols. It was great!
Charles singing White Christmas with his daughter, who is studying to be a nurse, I wonder if it because medicine saved her grandma's life
A violinist from the Oregon symphony who came to play, I could never make a violin do that hehehe! And the nurse who was the main singer and who has one beautiful voice
And Charles wife Jeannine
And I panned around the place and captured the American flag
Then the nurse did one of Jack's favorites "Santa Baby" why the fur stole
She enticed the head of the hospital to play Santa
And Charles closed it out with a story. He said there was this old lady that lived in a poor town and she was so poor she had to walk a long way to get water, and she carried her water in two jugs on a long pole over her back. The one jug was fine but the other one had a crack and because of that by the time she got home she only had half the water. The jug felt really bad, as if he added to her burden. And God granted it to speak its feelings-
I am so sorry said the jug that I am not able to hold all the water you carry that I let you down every day. And the lady said oh no you do not let me down at all, but I am cracked he said I fail you every day. Funny said the lady what you see as a flaw I see only that on your side of the road there are so many flowers blooming all the way to my door and you bring such beauty into my life and give me all these beautiful flowers to look upon each time I go to get water you do not make my life a burden you bring blessings to my life and for that I am most grateful
I think that sums up Charles and how he is I think it also sums up Jack's family and maybe Jack himself
Jack hugging Charles after the concert
Picture I took of Jack and Linda's dad, step mom step sister and her daughter
Linda's step sister took our picture
My shoes I made matching bows to my dress
And Jack took pictures of me when we got back
Thanks for sharing Christmas with us this year thus far, more picture to come. But then you knew that :)
And as promised more pictures, but because of the amount of pictures I am gonna upload from Christmas I will just put a few here and then split them between at least one maybe two more Christmas pages and will link here
